    Northwell Health, Zucker Hillside Hospital Department of Psychiatry announces new postdoctoral fellowship opportunity. This position is part of the developing evidence-based psychotherapy program at Northwell Health. The long-term mission of this program is to increase access to evidence-based psychotherapy for patients across the Northwell Health system of 21 hospitals and affiliated ambulatory practices. To accomplish this mission, the program aspires to provide direct clinical services, train providers in evidence-based approaches, develop resources to assist providers, and explore methods for using digital behavioral and telehealth to extend the reach of services. The postdoc will have opportunities to contribute to each of these areas. Duties will be as follows: 1) Coordinate a study of a smartphone based digital behavioral health intervention in a hospital psychiatric clinic and provide coaching for study participants, 2) Provide time-limited evidence-based psychotherapy in an outpatient practice, 3) Assist with supervising the implementation of routine outcome monitoring in this practice. Opportunities exist for further development of digital behavioral health services in hospital and outpatient services, or other areas consistent with the mission of the program, depending on candidate’s interests and expertise. The postdoc will be housed at Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, NY and at the Northwell Health Physicians Partners Behavioral Health Group Practice in Manhasset, NY, both just outside of New York City.

    The postdoc will be a member of a multidisciplinary team and participate in weekly clinical meetings, didactics, and supervision. This postdoc will have the opportunity to participate in weekly psychiatry Grand Rounds at Zucker Hillside Hospital. Responsibilities and supervision will fulfill criteria for the postdoctoral year of experience necessary for NYS Psychology licensure.

    Candidates of the 2017-2018 post-doctoral fellowship must have completed course study and dissertation defense in an APA-accredited PhD or PsyD doctoral program in clinical psychology, completed an APA-accredited Psychology Internship Program, and have experience in evidence-based treatment including CBT. Candidates must be eligible for the NYS Limited Permit in Psychology. Strong CBT skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and interest or experience with digital behavioral health or telehealth is preferred.
