About the Presenters

Heather Hadjistavropoulos is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Regina, Director of PSPNET, a national ICBT service for public safety personnel, and Executive Director of the Online Therapy Unit. She has over 15 years of experience implementing and evaluating therapist-guided ICBT in routine care and has led large-scale digital mental health initiatives across Canada. Her work focuses on improving access to psychological services and translating evidence-based internet interventions into real-world mental health services. She has won multiple awards including the ISRII 2024 Leadership Award and the 2025 Translational Impact Award.

Marie Paldam Folker is Managing Director of the Centre for Digital Psychiatry, Region of Southern Denmark. Marie is an expert digital mental health innovator and practitioner and has worked in the digital healthcare field for over 15 years. Trained as an anthropologist, Marie is passionate about making a difference to people with mental illness and involving people with lived experience in the development of digital mental health services. At the Centre Marie is responsible for the development and implementation of digital mental health interventions with regional and national uptake. Marie has served on the Danish Government’s Health Structure Commission providing recommendations for the largest Danish health reform in 20 years.
