ISRII Connection and Mentoring Program!

Looking for more connection in-between conferences? Eager to chat one-on-one with an ISRII member outside of your home institution/organization for guidance, support, or accountability? We recognize that ISRII members can give each other valuable guidance and support across career stages. We support matches between mentors and mentees (e.g. connections between someone more senior to someone more junior) as well as more mutual peer connections (e.g. two people who are at a relatively similar career stage supporting one another).

“My mentor encouraged and inspired me to take some actions to improve my CV, told me about the pros and cons of academia and industry, and overall, it was great to talk to her!” - 2025 mentee

“Great structure, genuine connection, excellent strategic pairing in terms of cross over and seniority.” – 2024 mentee

“It was wonderful to discuss career and topic areas with a peer in a different country.” – 2024 peer mentor

Though the 2026 ISRII Peer Mentoring Program application period has ended, we look forward to offering this opportunity again in the future—stay connected!

We were excited to bring back the ISRII Peer Mentoring Program in 2026 to support meaningful connections between members and continue strengthening our international community.

The application period for the 2026 mentoring cohort closed on April 30, 2026. Thank you to all who expressed interest in participating. We are aiming to notify people of their matches in Mid-May. Within this notification, we will also provide guidance on how you can get the most out of this program.

If you participated in our initial 2025 mentoring match, we appreciate your continued engagement and enthusiasm for building connections within ISRII.

While applications are now closed, we encourage you to check back for future opportunities to participate in the ISRII Peer Mentoring Program.

Please note: You must be an ISRII member to participate in this program. Not a member? Join today!
