With a little luck, the post conference Sunday is gonna be a beautiful sunny autumn day (fingers crossed).

If so, the following suggestion might be a nice combination of some historical sightseeing, exploring, shopping and getting a glimpse of Berlin life.

Go to U-Bahn Bernauerstrasse and visit the berliner mauer.
After that, take a short walk to the Mauerpark, which was once the militarized “death strip” of the Berlin Wall (or Mauer), and has now grown to a social, cultural and artistic hub of the city. Roam the huge flee market for vintage and handcraftet staff. Have a brake at the delicous (yet pricy) foodmarket. Take your food to the big lawn, lie down and listen to ore watch some of the many artistst perfoming at the Mauerpark.
Don`t miss Mauerpark Karaoke shortly after 3pm. This Berlin institution has been going on for several years now. In an open air stone theater at the middle western part of the park you will find an hour of hilarous and sometimes very good karaoke perfomance.
